Role Overview \r\nWe are looking for a skilled Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of software assets across a global enterprise. The role focuses on license optimization, utilization, vendor and contract management, audit readiness, and ensuring compliance with enterprise policies and contractual terms. \r\n

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities \r\nSoftware Asset Lifecycle Management \r\nDefine, implement, and maintain frameworks for managing software assets from acquisition to retirement. \r\nEnsure accurate tracking, entitlement validation, usage monitoring, and compliant disposal of software assets. \r\nVendor & Supplier Management \r\nBuild and manage relationships with major Tier1 & Tier2 software vendors. \r\nMonitor and optimize supplier performance to align with organizational objectives. \r\nProactively engage with vendors to stay updated on licensing changes and compliance requirements. \r\nContract Management \r\nEnsure contracts include optimized terms, compliance safeguards etc.. \r\nCollaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to maintain strong contract governance. \r\nAudit & Compliance Support \r\nPrepare and coordinate responses for vendor audits. \r\nMaintain accurate license balances and documentation for compliance. \r\nIdentify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions. \r\nCross Functional Collaboration \r\nWork closely with procurement, IT operations, finance, and global teams. \r\nCommunicate complex licensing scenarios clearly for varied stakeholders. \r\nTools & Systems \r\nUse tools such as SAP, Ariba, Aspera Smart track, Beneering, Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro. \r\nSupport reporting, analysis and automation for inventory and entitlement accuracy. \r\n

Skill Requirements

Qualifications \r\nDegree with a focus on IT and business administration or equivalent acquired knowledge. \r\nRelevant experience in the areas of license and contract management (demand management, term management, compliance, etc.). Comprehensive knowledge of IT procurement and support processes. \r\nIdeally profound experience in software asset management, especially in global tender and contract management processes. \r\nPreferably experience with software audits for large manufacturers such as Microsoft and SAP. Experience in international collaboration and project management. Experience in the structure, organization and operations of a global corporation. \r\nAbility to analyze, understand, document and present complex interrelationships in a way that is appropriate for the target group. Ability to work well with a wide variety of people and to find solutions within different interest groups. Negotiating skills, ability to work in a team, assertiveness, good presentation skills, willingness to cooperate across departments. Willingness to take responsibility for the development of economic solutions. Ability to manage cross-location projects. Ability to familiarize yourself independently and efficiently with new areas of knowledge. Willingness to communicate with people from other language and cultural backgrounds. \r\nExperience with typical tools such as SAP including Ariba, beneering, ServiceNow and the creation of license balances.egree in IT, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. \r\nExperience in license management, contract management, and vendor management. \r\nStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. \r\nAbility to collaborate across global teams and manage cross functional projects\r\n
