Job Title: Backup Administrator / Backup EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for a Backup Administrator responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise backup and recovery operations. The role ensures data protection, backup reliability, and quick recovery in case of failures or disasters.Roles & ResponsibilitiesManage daily backup and restore operations across servers, databases, and applicationsMonitor backup jobs and resolve backup failures and alertsPerform backup restores for incidents, audits, and user requestsEnsure compliance with backup policies, retention, and schedulesManage full, incremental, and differential backupsSupport disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plansPerform regular backup validation and test restoresCoordinate with system, storage, and application teamsMaintain backup documentation and SOPsEnsure data security, encryption, and access controls for backupsBackup Tools & TechnologiesBackup Tools:Veritas NetBackupVeeamCommvaultIBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)Storage: SAN, NAS, Tape LibrariesOS: Windows, Linux, UnixDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQLCloud: AWS Backup, Azure Backup (optional)Must have skillsSkills & Qualifications7–8 years of experience in backup and recovery operationsStrong understanding of backup concepts & strategiesHands-on experience with enterprise backup toolsKnowledge of DR, RPO, RTOBasic scripting knowledge (Shell / PowerShell – optional)Good troubleshooting and communication skillsPreferred Skills (Optional)Cloud backup experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Change, Problem)Storage administration basics

4. Drive Innovation And Process Development By Identifying Opportunities For Improvement In Service Delivery Using Rubrik Cdm Technologies.
5. Provide Tailored Solutions That Align With Customer Needs, Utilizing Emc Legato And Rubrik Cdm To Achieve Desired Business Outcomes.
