Job Summary

Successful candidates will be experienced run and change support professionals who can work independently, collaborate with UK-based stakeholders, operate within structured service management processes and provide reliable support for CBDPP platform services. The requirement is for three resources who can provide resilient rota coverage, support operational continuity and contribute to safe delivery of change across the Data Operations Services Lab.

Key Responsibilities

Experienced Production/Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise platform operations, application support, and service management. Skilled in Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tools, and DevOps practices. Proficient in Linux/Unix, Shell and PowerShell scripting, operational automation, incident management, troubleshooting, deployment support, and system monitoring. Adept at supporting batch data processing, integration services, platform upgrades, backup and recovery, and release management while ensuring service reliability, operational excellence, and adherence to enterprise governance standards. Strong communicator with experience working closely with UK-based stakeholders and supporting business-critical services in a 24/7 operational environment.

Other Requirements

Nice-to-Have Skillsets
Previous experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of LBG ways of working, service management standards, operational controls and change governance.
Experience with DevOps practices or continuous improvement of support processes.
Experience working across distributed onshore and offshore teams.

The in-scope technologies and products include CBDPP, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, OpenShift containerised services, Kubernetes, Kafka connectors, Kafka, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Helm, Git-based DevOps tooling, DataStage, Unix, Linux, PowerShell and shell scripting used to support run, change and operational service delivery across the Data Operations Services estate.
