IX Consultant Job Description – AIX Consultant
Role Summary Experienced AIX Consultant responsible for managing and supporting enterprise UNIX/AIX environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and adherence to security and compliance standards. The role demands strong troubleshooting skills, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

1. Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills • Strong hands-on experience in IBM AIX (6.x/7.x) • Expertise in Unix/Linux administration (RHEL/SUSE – good to have) • Knowledge of LVM, NIM, VIOS, PowerVM virtualization • Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting • Good understanding of ITIL processes
Experience & Qualification • 8–12 years of overall IT experience (typical for E3.2 band) • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science
