Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY Owns vulnerability remediation across IBM WebSphere Application Server. Version-sensitive patching with significant application-owner coordination. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ■ Execute WebSphere fix-pack and iFix application across the estate. ■ Manage Network Deployment cells, clusters and HA configurations during patching. ■ Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles. ■ Align JDK upgrades and dependent middleware library patching. ■ Maintain runbooks; feed Phase 2 automation candidates. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ■ Deep WebSphere ND administration: cells, clusters, deployment manager, nodes. ■ WebSphere fix-pack and iFix workflow. ■ JVM tuning and JDK alignment. ■ Hands-on wsadmin scripting. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE ■ IBM Certified System Administrator — WebSphere. ■ Experience with WebSphere Liberty. ■ Scripting with Ansible or Jython. EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS ■ 5+ years WebSphere administration. ■ Certifications: IBM Certified System Administrator — WAS. SOFT SKILLS ■ Detail-oriented. ■ Effective application-team coordinator. ■ Pattern recognition for automation.
