Job Summary
JNJ-CLOUD-AWS-EN-TnM-SOT-Development Key responsibilities Lead the design and evolution of the enterprise cloud architecture across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises hybrid environments. Develop and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and blueprints for compute, storage, networking, security, identity, data, and analytics. Translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective, resilient, and secure cloud solutions. Establish governance, standards, and best practices for cloud adoption, including IAM, networking, governance, cost controls, and compliance. Drive cloud migration and modernization programs (rehosting, refactoring, rearchitecting, and repurchase) with clear roadmaps, milestones, and risk management. Define and enforce security design, compliance controls, data protection, encryption, key management, and incident response plans. Optimize cloud spend through cost governance, tagging strategies, right-sizing, automation, and lifecycle management. Architect automation and CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) to enable rapid, repeatable deployments. Collaborate with security, site reliability engineering, data engineering, and application teams to ensure reliability, observable systems, and performance. Evaluate and select cloud services and vendors, maintain vendor relationships, and manage risk with due diligence. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, developers, and operations teams; communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders at all levels. Develop disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup architectures; design for high availability and fault tolerance. Establish performance benchmarks, monitoring, logging, and incident management practices; drive continuous improvement. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud technologies; 3+ years in an architecture or lead role. Proficiency across at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; multi-cloud experience is a plus). Strong understanding of networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect), security, identity and access management, storage, databases, and compute services. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash). Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. Experience with data architecture, data pipelines, and analytics solutions in the cloud. Ability to translate business requirements into architectural designs and deliverables. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders. Preferred qualifications Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CCSP/CISSP, or TOGAF. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Prior experience with hybrid cloud, edge computing, or data governance initiatives. Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable), and risk assessment. Advanced degree or specialized training in cloud security, data architecture, or AI/ML infrastructure. Skills & competencies Technical: cloud architecture design, cost management, security and compliance, IAM, networking, storage and databases, data governance, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and monitoring. Tools & technologies: IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), cloud-native services, and scripting languages.
