Track Lead - MS Windows,Endpoint Management,Hyper-V,MS Cluster Server

Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY Owns vulnerability remediation across the hypervisor estate (ESXi-family and equivalent) and bare-metal hosts. Operates within semi-automated patching workflows; contributes heavily to the Phase 2 automation expansion when scope extends. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ■ Plan and execute hypervisor firmware patching on ESXi (or equivalent) clusters. ■ Coordinate rolling reboots and DRS/vMotion-aware maintenance. ■ Patch bare-metal BIOS / BMC / iLO / iDRAC firmware in line with vendor advisories. ■ Maintain compatibility matrices (HCL) and validate post-patch cluster health. ■ Coordinate with storage and network teams for dependent patching. ■ Drive automation candidates into Phase 2 backlog. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ■ Strong VMware vSphere / ESXi administration (or equivalent hypervisor stack). ■ Hands-on bare-metal management: HPE iLO, Dell iDRAC, Cisco UCS Manager, Lenovo XCC. ■ Familiarity with cluster-aware maintenance: DRS, vMotion, evacuation procedures. ■ Understanding of storage and network dependencies during patching. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE ■ VMware VCP-DCV or higher. ■ Experience with Tanzu / Nutanix / Hyper-V is a plus. ■ Scripting with PowerCLI, Python, Ansible. EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS ■ 5+ years operating enterprise virtualisation platforms. ■ Certifications: VCP-DCV minimum; VCAP preferred. SOFT SKILLS ■ Calm during cluster maintenance windows. ■ Coordinated with storage and network peers. ■ Strong documentation discipline.
