Track Lead - Network LAN/WAN
Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Job Summary

A Network Reliability Engineer for SD-WAN and Cisco Meraki bridges the gap between traditional network engineering and site reliability engineering (SRE). They focus on designing, automating, and maintaining highly available, cloud-managed networks, minimizing downtime, and ensuring seamless application performance across distributed enterprise branches

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Deployment

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable SD-WAN architectures using Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, MR, and MG series).

• Implement policy-based routing, intelligent traffic steering, and application-aware routing across multiple WAN links.

• Configure and manage site-to-site VPNs, client VPNs, and network security policies including firewalls, content filtering, and IDS/IPS.

Reliability & Performance

• Establish network observability, telemetry, and alerting. Utilize the Meraki Dashboard to monitor packet loss, latency, and throughput across the environment.

• Proactively identify and troubleshoot network bottlenecks, latency issues, and connectivity failures to ensure high availability.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on network outages and implement permanent mitigations

Automation & Scaling

• Automate routine network configurations, firmware updates, patching, and lifecycle management tasks to reduce manual intervention.

• Utilize network APIs (e.g., Meraki Dashboard API) and automation frameworks (like Python or Ansible) to streamline operations and enforce configuration consistency.

• Evaluate and optimize Quality of Service (QoS) for business-critical SaaS applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Zoom).

Collaboration & Support

• Provide L3 escalation support for complex network incidents.

• Collaborate closely with ISP providers to quickly resolve circuit or last-mile connectivity issues.

• Maintain and update network documentation, topology diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Skill Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise WAN/LAN administration.

• Core Technologies: In-depth knowledge of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, MX Security Appliances, MS Switches, and MR Wireless Access Points.

• Routing & Switching: Solid understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).

• Automation: Proficiency in scripting/automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.

• Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, or Meraki-specific certifications (e.g., CMNO) are highly preferred.

Other Requirements

Perform architecture, design and engineering services for the Network Environment. Ensures continuous, resilient, and high-performance network operations by proactively monitoring, optimizing, and automating network infrastructure.
