Job Summary

The Allianz Technology – SAP Basis team is responsible for managing and administering the SAP systems of Allianz Trade which is an entity of Allianz. The role of SAP Basis Senior software Engineer is to provide the support for all SAP systems and its databases. Performance management / tuning, SAP & DB monitoring, Database tuning. Upgrades of SAP system and Database systems based on security guidelines. Managing of SAP & DB incidents and other SAP Basis activities within SLA.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis Administration • Full-scope SAP Basis administration • SAP performance analysis, error analysis, and system optimization across the landscape • Database administration on Oracle 19c and SAP HANA — troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance tuning • Change management at SAP Basis: support package implementation, security notes • Transport management (SAP TMS), output/printer administration, and user & role administration • Performance tuning and management • Frontend support for SAP GUI issues and problems • Maintain near-100% availability of SAP systems and resolve SAP & DB incidents within SLA • Coordinate with SAP, Allianz, and Infrastructure teams on landscape changes and escalations • Participate in weekly 24x7 on-call rotation for urgent issues AWS Infrastructure & DevOps • Own the Disaster Recovery (DR) environment — design, build, regularly test failover, and document runbooks to meet RTO/RPO targets • Monitor cloud infrastructure, cost, and security posture; remediate security findings

Skill Requirements

Must Have • 7 to 10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and AWS cloud with hands-on delivery in both areas • Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field • Strong hands-on AWS experience across core services (EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) • Solid Linux administration skills (RHEL/SUSE/AIX); shell scripting (Bash) • Demonstrated experience deploying servers, applying OS and SAP patches, and operating a Disaster Recovery environment with regular failover testing • Database administration experience on Oracle 19c and SAP HANA — troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance tuning • Good knowledge of written English and fluent spoken English Good to Have • SAP-on-AWS experience • SAP Basis certification
