Job Summary

Job Description: Mimecast Consultant (Senior / Consultant Level) Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Mimecast Consultant with experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade email security and cyber resilience solutions using the Mimecast platform. The ideal candidate needs to have strong experience in email security, threat protection, messaging systems (Exchange / M365), and secure email gateways, along with proven consulting skills in client-facing environments. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Design & Architecture • Design and architect Mimecast solutions aligned to customer security, compliance, and business continuity requirements • Lead assessments of existing email security posture and recommend improvements • Define secure configurations for: o Email gateway (SEG replacement / enhancement) o Targeted Threat Protection (TTP) o URL & Attachment Protection o Impersonation & Anti-Phishing controls o Data Leak Prevention (DLP) o Archive & Compliance ________________________________________ 2. Implementation & Configuration • Deploy and configure Mimecast components including: o Email Gateway Integration (M365 / Exchange / Hybrid / On-Prem) o Directory synchronization (Azure AD / LDAP) o SPF, DKIM, DMARC implementation o Inbound/outbound mail flow routing • Configure policies for: o Spam filtering and threat protection o Attachment sandboxing and URL rewrite protection o Internal/external email controls ________________________________________ 3. Migration & Integration • Lead or support migration from legacy email security solutions (e.g., Proofpoint, Cisco ESA, Symantec) to Mimecast • Integrate Mimecast with: o Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online o SIEM (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk) o Identity platforms (Azure AD / Entra) ________________________________________ 4. Operations & Optimization • Monitor and fine-tune Mimecast environment for: o Threat detection accuracy o False positive reduction o Policy optimization • Troubleshoot: o Mail flow issues o Delivery failures o Authentication failures (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) ________________________________________ 5. Governance, Risk & Compliance • Implement email retention, archiving, and eDiscovery policies • Support compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, ISO) • Perform risk assessment and provide mitigation strategies ________________________________________ 6. Client Engagement & Consulting • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Mimecast solutions • Conduct workshops, design sessions, and client presentations • Translate business requirements into technical solutions • Provide L3-level support and advisory services ________________________________________ 7.
