Job Summary

Job Summary : We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer (L3) to lead network design, transformation, and project delivery initiatives for the Ausenco account. The role will act as a technical SME and thought leader, driving architectural improvements across SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, WLAN, and security domains, with strong hands-on expertise in Meraki and Fortinet technologies. This role goes beyond BAU operations, focusing on solution design, optimization, and implementation of next-generation network capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities : 1. Network Design & Architecture Leadership Define and implement end-to-end network architecture across WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments Lead design reviews and solution validation for new deployments and enhancements Drive adoption of best practices for scalability, resilience, and security (Zero Trust, segmentation, redundancy) Address key design gaps such as ISP failover, security baselines, and consistent policy models 2. Project Delivery & Transformation Lead delivery of network transformation programs (SD-WAN rollout, firewall standardization, LAN modernization) Own HLD/LLD creation, implementation planning, and execution governance Coordinate with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, tools, ISP vendors) for project execution Ensure timely delivery with adherence to SLAs, milestones, and client expectations 3. SD-WAN, Meraki & Fortinet Expertise Design and optimize SD-WAN solutions (performance, routing policies, failover models) Architect and manage Meraki environments (switching, wireless, cloud-managed networking) Lead deployment and optimization of Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) Implement secure remote connectivity (VPN, ZTNA, segmentation models) Enhance network observability and performance monitoring frameworks 4. Thought Leadership & Continuous Improvement Act as technical advisor to client stakeholders, recommending improvements based on assessment findings Drive innovation and automation initiatives across network operations and delivery Contribute to roadmap definition for network modernization and cost optimization Lead internal technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of L1/L2 engineers 5. Advanced Troubleshooting & Governance Provide L3 support for critical incidents and complex problem management Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and permanent fix implementation Support risk mitigation initiatives (e.g., inconsistent firewall policies, lack of baseline security) Ensure governance compliance, documentation, and audit readiness Required Technical Skills Core Networking Strong expertise in: Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP WAN technologies: MPLS, SD-WAN, QoS Network design & architecture (HLD/LLD) Platform Expertise Fortinet: FortiGate (advanced configuration, HA, policies) FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer Cisco Meraki: Switching, wireless, SD-WAN (Auto VPN, traffic shaping) Cloud-managed networking models Security & Connectivity Firewalls, VPNs, secure segmentation Zero Trust / ZTNA fundamentals Network security best practices Tools & Automation Monitoring tools (SNMP, telemetry, network analytics) Packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) Exposure to SIEM / log analytics platforms Experience & Qualifications 8–12+ years of experience in network engineering with strong design and delivery background Proven track record in network transformation / modernization programs Hands-on experience in multi-vendor environments (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco) Certifications (Preferred): CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise or Security) Fortinet NSE (NSE4/NSE5/NSE7) Meraki certifications (CMNA/CMNO – good to have)
