Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Database Analyst with strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) DBA administration, PostgreSQL database administration, and automation using Ansible.
The candidate will be responsible for managing mission‑critical database environments, driving automation, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance, and working closely with application, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. Excellent English communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
•    Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup & recovery, HA/DR, performance tuning, and troubleshooting).
•    Administer and support PostgreSQL databases, including setup, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization.
•    Design and implement database automation using Ansible for provisioning, configuration, patching, and routine DBA activities.
•    Perform database monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive performance tuning.
•    Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
•    Support database upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
•    Ensure database environments comply with security, audit, and governance standards.
•    Provide L3/L4 production support and participate in on call rotations as required.

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
•    10+ years of hands on experience as a Database Analyst / DBA.
•    Strong expertise in MS SQL Server DBA administration.
•    Strong hands on experience in PostgreSQL DBA administration.
•    Proven experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
•    Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and basic shell scripting.
•    Experience with database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
•    Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.
•    Ability to work independently and in a globally distributed team environment.

Other Requirements

Good to Have
•    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
•    Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
•    Experience supporting large scale, 24x7 production environments.
•    Knowledge of compliance, audit, and security best practices.
