Job Summary

MS SQL L3 Administrator Job Title: MS SQL Server L3 Administrator Location: Noida (or as applicable) Experience: 6-10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Server L3 Administrator to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-scale SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting critical incidents, high availability solutions, and ensuring database security and reliability. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across production, UAT, and development environments. Perform advanced database troubleshooting and provide L3 support for critical incidents. Design, implement, and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering. Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks. Perform query optimization, index tuning, and database performance analysis. Implement database backup, recovery, and capacity planning strategies. Manage database security, user access, roles, and permissions. Support database migrations, upgrades, patching, and version management activities. Collaborate with application teams to resolve database-related issues and improve performance. Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories. Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards. Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities. Required Technical Skills Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 administration. Expertise in SQL Server Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance. Hands-on experience in: Always On Availability Groups Database Mirroring Log Shipping Replication SQL Clustering Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Query Optimization. Experience with SQL Server Performance Tuning and Monitoring. Expertise in Backup & Recovery strategies. Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS. Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance. Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SCOM, Redgate, or SQL Sentry.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or SQL Server Certifications. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments. Knowledge of cloud database services in Azure. Familiarity with ITIL-based Service Management processes. Key Competencies Database Performance Optimization Root Cause Analysis Problem Solving Incident Management Stakeholder Communication Automation & Process Improvement Risk Assessment & Mitigation Team Collaboration Education Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Shift Requirement Willingness to provide 24x7 support coverage through rotational shifts and on-call schedules for critical production environments.
