Job Summary

DC Migration SME (L3) Lot 5 – Data Centre Migration Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore Experience: 10–12 Years Role Summary The Data Centre (DC) Migration SME will be responsible for leading and governing data centre migration and consolidation initiatives across server, storage, network, middleware, security, and application environments. The role will provide technical leadership and migration expertise to ensure smooth transition of workloads from legacy data centres to target environments, including cloud, co-location, or modernized data centre platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end data centre migration activities, including assessment, planning, design, migration, cutover, and stabilization phases. • Conduct infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, application affinity analysis, and migration readiness assessments. • Develop migration strategies, wave plans, runbooks, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and implementation schedules. • Coordinate with server, storage, network, database, middleware, cloud, security, and application teams to execute migration activities. • Identify migration risks, dependencies, technical constraints, and develop mitigation plans to minimize business disruption. • Lead migration governance reviews, technical workshops, and stakeholder communications throughout the migration lifecycle. • Support infrastructure modernization initiatives including virtualization, cloud adoption, workload optimization, and platform consolidation. • Manage migration testing, validation, business sign-off, and operational readiness activities. • Drive issue resolution during migration windows and provide SME support for critical migration events and cutovers. • Develop migration documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, service owners, and business stakeholders to ensure successful migration outcomes. • Support post-migration stabilization, performance validation, and service transition into BAU operations.
