Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Datadog Specialist (L2) to support Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing Datadog monitoring solutions across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, operational excellence, and the ability to work in a 24x7 support environment.
Experience
· 2–5 years of IT Operations/Monitoring experience
· 1–3 years of hands-on experience with Datadog administration and operations
Key Responsibilities
· Perform day-to-day BAU activities for the Datadog platform.
· Monitor infrastructure, applications, logs, and cloud resources using Datadog.
· Create, modify, and maintain dashboards, monitors, alerts, and reports.
· Investigate and resolve monitoring alerts, incidents, and performance issues.
· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents.
· Fine-tune alert thresholds to reduce false positives and alert fatigue.
· Support onboarding new applications, servers, containers, and cloud resources into Datadog.
· Configure integrations with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) and third-party tools.
· Manage log ingestion, APM, infrastructure monitoring, synthetic monitoring, and network monitoring.
· Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams during incident resolution.
· Support patching, upgrades, and health checks of the Datadog environment.
· Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and documentation.
· Participate in on-call support and shift-based operations as required.
· Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.

o SNMP, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, APIs
· Experience with Datadog integrations and agent deployment.
· Basic knowledge of scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
· Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps is an advantage.
