Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled FinOps Consultant to join our team and drive cloud cost optimization and financial operations across our multi-cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FinOps principles, hands-on expertise in cost optimization levers, and a deep knowledge of cloud services. The role involves interacting with stakeholders, presenting detailed cost reports, and implementing cost-saving strategies across Azure (primary), OCI, and AWS environments. The resource must be available during EST hours. Key Responsibilities: Leverage cloud vendor-provided cost optimization tools and strategies to optimize costs effectively. Implement right-sizing, auto-scaling, and best practices for workload management. Identify underutilized resources and recommend solutions to minimize wastage. Generate and present monthly, quarterly, and yearly cost reports with actionable insights. Prepare and share ad hoc financial reports as needed by stakeholders. Use VMware Cloud Health to monitor and analyze multi-cloud spend and performance. Define and implement budget-forecasting strategies for better financial planning. Conduct regular calls with stakeholders to discuss cost insights and optimization strategies. Present detailed cost reports and actionable insights in monthly meetings with stakeholders. Provide detailed presentations on cost trends, forecasted spend, and optimization recommendations. Introduce and enforce FinOps best practices tailored to the organization’s cloud usage and business needs. Educate teams on cost optimization strategies, such as Reserved Instances (RIs), Savings Plans, and Spot Instances. Provide expert guidance on multi-cloud financial management strategies and service cost comparison
