Job Summary

Classification: Confidential DLP – Microsoft Purview Role summary Seeking a Microsoft Purview DLP specialist to design, implement, and support data loss prevention controls across email, endpoints, collaboration tools, and cloud services. The role will work closely with security, compliance, legal, and infrastructure teams to reduce data leakage risk and strengthen governance. Key responsibilities o Design, implement, and manage DLP policies across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, endpoints, and cloud applications. o Configure Microsoft Purview information protection, labelling, and data classification controls. o Monitor and investigate DLP alerts, incidents, and policy violations using Purview and related audit tools. o Support compliance requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and internal security standards. o Work with business stakeholders to tune policies, manage exceptions, and reduce false positives. o Create documentation, runbooks, test plans, and operational handover material. o Assist with reporting, audits, and evidence collection for compliance reviews. Required skills o Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and information protection. o Good understanding of data governance, privacy, compliance, and information protection principles. o Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments. o Experience with endpoint DLP, labelling, auto labelling, retention, eDiscovery, audit, Insider Risk Management and sensitive information types. o Knowledge of security operations, incident response, and compliance monitoring. o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred skills o SC-401 or SC-400 certification. o Experience with Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and broader Microsoft security tooling. o Familiarity with Insider Risk Management, Audit, and eDiscovery. o Experience supporting regulated industries or enterprise governance programs. o Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and compliance reporting.
