Job Summary

This role is accountable for overseeing perimeter security operations using Fortinet technologies, driving operational excellence, and ensuring robust firewall management for complex enterprise environments. The individual empowers teams, champions process innovation, and is responsible for maintaining high service standards aligned with client requirements and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead advanced firewall and perimeter security operations using Fortinet technologies, ensuring optimal configuration, monitoring, and incident response for complex client environments.
2. Oversee the implementation and enforcement of security policies and rule sets on Fortinet firewalls, proactively identifying and mitigating threats to maintain high levels of security compliance.
3. Drive process improvements by analyzing operational workflows in perimeter security, recommending and implementing automation or optimization using Fortinet management tools.
4. Mentor and guide operations teams in the management of security incidents, change controls, and troubleshooting escalations, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of client security requirements, SLAs, and reporting obligations.
6. Evaluate and integrate new Fortinet features and security best practices into existing operations, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
7. Provide expert-level solutions and recommendations for complex perimeter security challenges, aligning with customer needs and evolving threat landscapes.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Skills In Perimeter Security Operations, Including Threat Management, Incident Response, And Security Policy Administration.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Using Fortinet Management And Monitoring Tools (E.G., Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer).
3. Strong Understanding Of Network Protocols, Security Architectures, And Enterprise Security Frameworks.
4. Excellent Leadership, Mentoring, And Communication Abilities For Managing Technical Teams In HighStakes Environments.
5. Advanced Proficiency In Process Improvement Methodologies Related To Security Operations.

Other Requirements

1. Fortinet NSE 7 or NSE 8 certification (recommended).
2. CISSP or CISM certification (optional but valuable)

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
