Job Summary

ob Description (JD) – IBM API Connect & DataPower Gateway Engineer Position: API Connect & DataPower Gateway Engineer Experience: 4-10 Years Location: As per business requirement Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM API Connect & DataPower Gateway Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise API management and gateway solutions. The role involves API development, security configuration, gateway administration, integration, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of API platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, deploy, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect. Configure and administer IBM DataPower Gateway services. Implement API security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS, API Keys, and Mutual Authentication. Develop API proxies, assemblies, policies, and gateways. Integrate APIs with backend applications, databases, cloud services, and third-party systems. Configure and manage DataPower services such as MPGW, WSP, XML Firewall, and API Gateway. Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis. Support API lifecycle management, versioning, and governance processes. Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams. Participate in production support, incident management, and change implementation activities. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect. Expertise in IBM DataPower Gateway Administration. Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI specifications. Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API security frameworks. Experience with API publishing, developer portals, and API governance. Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. Experience in troubleshooting API and gateway-related issues. Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices. Preferred Skills Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Knowledge of Ansible or automation tools. Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise Integration environments. Familiarity with Agile and ITIL processes.
