Track Manager - IBM Websphere, Weblogic & JBoss Application Server

Job Summary

This role provides expert leadership in managing, optimizing, and innovating enterprise-scale application server environments, ensuring robust support operations, adherence to client SLAs, and continuous improvement across systems. The individual drives operational excellence, mentors teams, and delivers strategic solutions using advanced expertise in BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and JBoss to support complex and large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and optimize application server environments using Websphere Application Server and BEA WebLogic, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with client SLAs.
2. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical incidents using advanced diagnostics tools in Websphere and WebLogic, driving continuous improvement in incident response and resolution.
3. Implement process automation and monitoring enhancements using JBoss and related middleware tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
4. Collaborate with support teams to strategize and execute complex migrations, upgrades, and patching activities across application server platforms, minimizing downtime and risk.
5. Mentor and guide team members in best practices for application server administration, security hardening, and configuration management.
6. Analyze client requirements and translate them into actionable support strategies, ensuring alignment of operational practices with business objectives.
7. Champion adoption of innovative tools, scripts, and methodologies to streamline operations and improve reporting, information flow, and business process planning.
8. Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer for all major operational changes and new solutions implemented across platforms.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Proficiency In Jboss Middleware Operations, Including Clustering, Failover, And Security Configurations.
2. Advanced Skills In Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis, And ProblemSolving Within Complex, MultiTier Environments.
3. Strong Ability To Implement Process Automation And Monitoring Using IndustryStandard Tools For Application Server Environments.
4. Excellent Understanding Of ItilBased Operations, Sla Management, And Operational Reporting.
5. Proficient In Scripting (Shell, Python, Or Similar) For Automation Of Routine Tasks.
6. Excellent Communication And Mentoring Abilities, With A Focus On Strategic Leadership And Process Innovation.

Other Requirements

1. Optional but valuable: Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle WebLogic Server, or IBM Certified System Administrator � WebSphere Application Server.
2. Optional: Red Hat Certified Specialist in JBoss Administration
