Who you are As an Infrastructure Specialist – Websphere (WAS) Professional, You are responsible for crafting, running and monitoring the infrastructure to support WebSphere servers. What will you do Involved in IBM WebSphere Application server V7.x/8.x/9.x installation, configuration and management Considerable initiative and discernment relative to problem determination / resolution and telephone etiquette Interpret documentation and craft handbook and maintain technical documents; The ability to implement customer requested changes Mentor team members and drive major migration(Hardware and software) and upgrade projects. Required Professional and Technical Expertise : Minimum 8-10 years of shown experience with WebSphere infrastructure Web Sphere Application Server Architecture 7.x , 8.x and 9x knowledge. JVM internal architecture Application server clusters and advantages : High Availability & Workload Management. Steps to configure Data source and JNDI Authentication mechanisms available for Global Security implementation. Troubleshooting traces for troubleshooting Plugin work flow and session management Implementation of fixpack and upgrades. SSL certificate management and working concepts Node federation Migration and upgrades to newer version of WebSphere Application Server Performance tuning Heap and thread dump analysis Web Services configuration Integration with LDAP / JMS and WebSphere MQ Log management Unix knowledge Shell Script Knowledge
