Job Summary

This role is accountable for strategic operations management and technical leadership in administering and optimizing enterprise-scale application server environments. The individual is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of JBoss, Tomcat, and WebSphere Application Server platforms, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and empowering teams to deliver superior support aligned with client SLAs and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide expert oversight and optimization of JBoss, Tomcat, and WebSphere Application Server operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with client SLAs.
2. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex incidents and problems using advanced troubleshooting skills with application server technologies and related tools.
3. Drive process improvements by implementing automation scripts and monitoring solutions for proactive management of application server environments.
4. Guide and mentor team members in best practices for application server deployment, configuration management, and operational support using Tomcat and JBoss administration tools.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate client requirements into actionable operational strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
6. Lead major incident response and recovery processes, leveraging knowledge of application server clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
7. Champion the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance service delivery, such as infrastructure-as-code and containerization for application server environments.
8. Ensure robust documentation and knowledge sharing for all operational processes, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides related to JBoss, Tomcat, and WebSphere Application Server.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Root Cause Analysis Of Server, Deployment, And Performance Issues In Enterprise Environments.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Automation And Scripting (E.G., Shell, Python, Ansible) For Operational Efficiency In Application Server Management.
3. Solid Knowledge Of Monitoring Tools And Frameworks (Such As Nagios, Splunk, Or Appdynamics) For Proactive Application Server Health Management.
4. Excellent Skills In Configuration Management, Clustering, Load Balancing, And Failover Strategies For Application Servers.
5. InDepth Experience With Security Hardening And Compliance Practices For Application Server Infrastructures.
6. Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills For Team Mentorship And Stakeholder Engagement.

Maximum Salary (US):  110000
Minimum Salary (US):  105000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
