Job Summary

This role is accountable for managing complex network operations for large-scale LAN/WAN environments, driving continuous service improvement, and ensuring high standards in client service delivery. The individual provides expert leadership to operations teams, implements innovative process enhancements, and ensures the achievement of operational SLAs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee LAN/WAN network operations by leveraging advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network monitoring tools such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and SolarWinds, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
2. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents using packet analyzers like Wireshark and network management platforms to minimize downtime and service impact.
3. Implement and optimize network policies and security protocols utilizing firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and network access controls to safeguard data integrity and compliance.
4. Drive process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in network operations through automation tools such as Ansible and Python scripting, enhancing operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
5. Mentor and empower network support teams by sharing expert knowledge in LAN/WAN technologies, ensuring skill development, transparent communication, and alignment with project goals.
6. Engage with clients to understand evolving network requirements, translating business needs into actionable network solutions while ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs and service quality benchmarks.
7. Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, operational reports, and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning.

Skill Requirements

1. Advanced Expertise In Cisco And Juniper Network Devices And Protocols (Ospf, Bgp, Mpls, Vlans).
2. Excellent Command Of Network Monitoring And Management Tools (Solarwinds, Wireshark, Snmp).
3. Advanced Knowledge Of Network Security Principles, Including Firewall Configuration And Vpn Technologies.
4. Strong Skills In Process Optimization, Automation (Python, Ansible), And Network Documentation.
5. Excellent Leadership And Mentoring Abilities, With A Focus On Team Empowerment And Operational Excellence.
6. Strong Analytical, ProblemSolving, And Client Engagement Skills.

Other Requirements

1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS) certification required.
2. ITIL Foundation certification is optional but valuable

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
