Job Summary

Responsibility for the publication and communication of the programmed Transition and Transformation process and supporting templates ? Work with program stakeholders across IT to ensure delivery change documentation is published to expected quality standards in line with project timescales ? Ensure service transition and transformation is planned and executed to schedule, budget and scope ? Build transition plans including infrastructure/application support models, change management. ? Responsible for planning and overseeing the transfer of key information necessary for the support, operation and acceptance of solutions deployed into production. This includes operational readiness, support documentation and acceptance checklists. ? Be responsible for coordinating implementation activities, providing effective team leadership, including information flow to and from operations during project work ? Apply Transition principles and mentor staff across the program to continually improve the Service Transition capability ? Identify, influence and lead the implementation of best practice initiatives that improve on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Transition function ? Liaise with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress ? Work with project manager to establish end-to-end project plan and approach ? Promotes awareness of transition planning and support process and strategy ? Project manager is expected to act with minimum supervision and to deliver to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated Skills Requirements: ? Experience of transitioning and transforming complex IT projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for projects ? Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills ? Ability to work and team effectively with IT Services groups and other management personnel including on a global, virtual basis ? Knowledge of service transition methodology, tools and templates ? Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises ? Experience of creating and maintaining a project plan ? Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills ? An understanding of the need for standards in IT and a willingness to achieve further formal ITIL qualifications as required ? Demonstrates commitment to IT methodologies, processes and standards for transition planning and support ? Demonstrate mastery of the process competency principles and practices ? Ability to identify, escalate and manage project risks Education: ? A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience Experience: ? 17 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment ? 11 to 15 years’ experience in transition and transformation project management or related technical field (infrastructure, application development and deployment/implementation) Certification Requirements: ? Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2) ? Familiarity with ITIL v3 would be advantageous
