Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing security operations and managing complex projects within the Security Operations Center (SOC) using Qualys and related tools. The individual ensures operational excellence, drives process improvements, and empowers teams to deliver on client requirements while maintaining high standards of incident response and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead SOC operations by utilizing Qualys and advanced security tools to monitor, analyze, and respond to complex security incidents, ensuring adherence to client SLAs and compliance standards.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SOC workflows using Qualys automation and vulnerability management features to optimize threat detection and incident response processes.
3. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to SOC teams in the application of Qualys modules for asset discovery, vulnerability assessment, and remediation planning.
4. Analyze security events and operational metrics from Qualys and other SOC platforms to identify patterns, recommend solutions, and implement process enhancements.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate client security requirements into actionable SOC processes, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with project goals.
6. Champion innovation in SOC operations by evaluating and integrating new Qualys functionalities and security technologies to enhance organizational security posture.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Knowledge Of Soc Operations, Security Incident Management, And Siem Technologies.
2. Advanced Skill In Threat Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment, And Remediation Planning Using Qualys And Related Tools.
3. Excellent Ability To Lead, Mentor, And Develop Soc Teams In A HighComplexity Environment.
4. Strong Analytical And ProblemSolving Skills In Security Operations And Process Optimization.
5. Advanced Understanding Of It Security Frameworks, Compliance Standards (Such As Iso 27001, Pci Dss), And Regulatory Requirements.

Other Requirements

1. Recommended: Qualys Certified Specialist (QCS) or GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC) certification (optional but valuable for this role)
