Job Summary
: Linux Lead : The Linux System Administrator (L3) is responsible for advanced Linux system administration, technical leadership, and escalation support across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role acts as the technical SME for Linux platforms, owning complex incidents, root cause analysis, system optimization, and continuous improvement while guiding L2 teams and ensuring platform stability.
Key Responsibilities
Act as L3 escalation point for complex Linux incidents and production issues. • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions. • Design, review, and optimize Linux system configurations and performance. • Lead patching strategies, kernel upgrades, and security hardening initiatives. • Own and support High Availability clusters and complex storage configurations. • Define and improve Linux operational standards, SOPs, and automation approaches. • Support platform architecture decisions for on‑prem and cloud Linux environments. • Mentor and technically guide L2 administrators. • Collaborate with security, network, storage, and cloud teams on integrated solutions. • Provide technical input for audits, compliance, and capacity planning activities.
Skill Requirements
Expert-level Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent). • Strong expertise in kernel tuning, performance optimization, and system hardening. • Hands-on experience with HA clusters, DR solutions, and advanced storage setups. • Experience with cloud Linux environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operations. • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring skills.
