Job Summary
The SharePoint Administrator L3 is responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, security, and governance of SharePoint Server environments. The role provides advanced technical support, resolves escalated incidents, drives platform improvements, and ensures high availability and compliance of SharePoint infrastructure. This position also mentors L1/L2 administrators and collaborates with business stakeholders on enterprise collaboration solutions. Adapted from internal SharePoint SME responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Skill Requirements
Strong experience administering SharePoint Server (On-Premises). Expertise in SharePoint Farm Architecture and Service Applications. IIS, Windows Server Administration, and PowerShell scripting. SQL Server administration related to SharePoint. Active Directory, DNS, Authentication (NTLM/Kerberos/Claims). Backup & Recovery, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery. Performance troubleshooting and log analysis (ULS Logs). Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Core SME competencies are consistent with the internal SharePoint administration profile
Other Requirements
6–10 years of IT experience. Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on SharePoint On-Premises administration. Experience supporting enterprise-scale SharePoint environments. Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (preferred) ITIL Foundation Certification
