Job Title: Sr Observability Engineer (Splunk)\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nYou are: \\\\r\\\\nWe are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Senior Observability Engineer with expertise in Splunk, App Dynamics, Open Telemetry to join our Enterprise Observability Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our observability tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our IT systems. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nYou have: \\\\r\\\\n- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. \\\\r\\\\n- Minimum of 5–7 years in Observability/Monitoring/Site reliability engineering with a focus on Splunk, AppDynamics, and OpenTelemetry. \\\\r\\\\n- Proven experience in Implementing, Managing and Maintaining observability tools.\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nTechnical Skills: \\\\r\\\\n- Proficiency in Splunk, AppDynamics (including configuration, administration, and implementation).\\\\r\\\\n- Exhibits strong knowledge in AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda Functions, SNS/SQS, S3, CloudWatch)\\\\r\\\\n- Proficiency in DevOps Tools (GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, CI/CD Pipelines)\\\\r\\\\n- Strong in MELT, Metrics, Events, Logs and Traces; hands-on troubleshooting and support \\\\r\\\\n- OpenTelemetry: instrumentation patterns, context propagation, collectors, sampling etc \\\\r\\\\n- Maintain platform reliability, upgrades, patching, and security hardening \\\\r\\\\n- Exposure to Fullstack observability (cluster/workload metrics, events, service discovery) \\\\r\\\\n- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and networking. \\\\r\\\\n- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash). \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nSoft Skills: \\\\r\\\\n- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. \\\\r\\\\n- Strong communication and collaboration abilities. \\\\r\\\\n- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities: \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n1. Administration and Implementation: \\\\r\\\\n- Administer and configure Splunk, AppDynamics, and OTel platforms to meet organizational monitoring needs. \\\\r\\\\n- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to observability tools to ensure they are up-to-date and secure. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n2. Monitoring and Maintenance: \\\\r\\\\n- Continuously monitor the health and performance of the Splunk, APPD systems. \\\\r\\\\n- Ensure data integrity and availability within the observability platforms. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n3. User Support and Training: \\\\r\\\\n- Provide support to internal users, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving issues. \\\\r\\\\n- Develop and deliver training sessions for users to effectively utilize the monitoring tools. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n4. Dashboard and Alert Management: \\\\r\\\\n- Create and manage dashboards, reports, and alerts \\\\r\\\\n- Work with stakeholders to define monitoring requirements and implement appropriate alerting mechanisms. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n5. Data Management and Optimization: \\\\r\\\\n- Manage the onboarding, Alert creation. \\\\r\\\\n- Optimize system performance by tuning configurations and managing resource utilization. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n6. Documentation and Best Practices: \\\\r\\\\n- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. \\\\r\\\\n- Develop and enforce best practices for monitoring and observability within the organization. \\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n7. Collaboration and Incident Response: \\\\r\\\\n- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage. \\\\r\\\\n- Participate in incident response efforts, using observability data to assist in troubleshooting and resolution. \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n
