Track Manager - Veritas NetBackup, Symantec Backup Exec

Job Summary

Install, configure, administer and upgrade Veritas NetBackup. Configure Master/Media Servers, agents and backup infrastructure. Create, configure and execute enterprise backup jobs and policies. Configure and manage Storage Lifecycle Policies (SLPs), storage units, volume pools, tape libraries and drives. Troubleshoot complex backup and restore failures. Monitor and resolve duplication and replication issues. Configure and support Disaster Recovery backups. Perform scheduled restore testing and recovery activities. Monitor backup status and Dell EMC Data Domain reports. Perform backup performance tuning for slow or failed backups. Perform NetBackup upgrades and migration activities. Troubleshoot backup hardware and appliance issues. Work with vendor support for complex backup-tool and hardware problems. Perform regular backup infrastructure health checks. Support Incident, Change, Service Request and Problem Management activities. Provide audit information/evidence and maintain technical documentation. Mentor and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 backup engineers.
