Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced and self-driven VMware & Windows Administrator at the L3 (Senior) level to join our IT Infrastructure & Operations team. The successful candidate will serve as the highest technical escalation point for all VMware virtualization and Windows Server environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and ongoing management of enterprise-grade virtualization infrastructure and Windows server ecosystems, ensuring maximum availability, security, and performance for business-critical workloads. As an L3 professional, you will mentor junior administrators, lead root-cause analysis of complex incidents, define best practices, and actively contribute to infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives. 2. Key Responsibilities 2.1 VMware Administration Design, deploy, and manage enterprise VMware environments including vSphere, vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA), and ESXi hosts. Perform lifecycle management: upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and version migrations for VMware infrastructure components. Manage and optimize datastores, storage policies, zoning, and SAN/NAS integration. Implement and administer VMware vSAN, NSX-T (network virtualization), and vRealize Operations (vROps) for performance monitoring. Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and FT for high availability. Manage VM templates, snapshots, cloning, and resource pools for efficient virtual machine lifecycle management. Implement VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling (DRS) and performance tuning to prevent resource contention. Integrate VMware environments with bare-metal servers including Dell, HP ProLiant, Cisco UCS, IBM, and Nutanix platforms. 2.2 Windows Server Administration Install, configure, and administer Windows Server environments (2016 / 2019 / 2022) across physical and virtual platforms. Manage Microsoft Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and ADFS. Perform OS patch management, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation across server estate. Design and manage Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) and Network Load Balancing (NLB) for HA workloads. Administer IIS, Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and print server infrastructure. Manage file systems, storage quotas, permissions, and data deduplication on Windows Server. Support Microsoft PKI, Certificate Authority (CA), and identity management services. 2.3 L3 Support & Escalation Act as the final escalation point for P1/P2 incidents involving VMware, Windows Server, and related infrastructure. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews, producing detailed technical reports and permanent fix plans. Provide 24x7 on-call support rotation for critical infrastructure issues. Collaborate with vendors (Microsoft, VMware/Broadcom) and support teams for issue resolution.
