Workday Absence Functional consultant

Key Responsibilities

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Absence Management with involvement in Full Lifecycle Implementations, Phase X Deployments, Enhancements, and Production Support projects.
  • Configured and maintained Time Off Plans, Leave of Absence Plans, Leave Types, Time Off Types, Accrual Schedules, Accrual Frequencies, Carryover Rules, Waiting Periods, and Service-Based Eligibility Rules.
  • Designed and configured Eligibility Rules, Validation Rules, Proration Rules, Leave Entitlements, and Continuous Service Calculations.
  • Implemented complex absence solutions for Vacation, Sick Leave, Parental Leave, FMLA, Personal Leave, Bereavement, and Jury Duty plans.
  • Developed and maintained Calculated Fields and Calculation.
  • Configured and modified Business Processes (BP) for Leave Request, Leave Correction, Leave Return, Leave Cancellation, and Absence Events.
  • Created and maintained Report Writer reports to support HR and Payroll teams.
  • Configured security domains, business process security policies, and role-based access controls.
  • Worked with Payroll teams to ensure accurate leave balances and payroll processing.
  • Performed tenant configuration migration using EIBs and Object Transporter.
  • Supported integrations involving Absence, Payroll, Benefits, and Third-Party Leave Vendors.
  • Participated in SIT, UAT, Parallel Testing, Regression Testing, and Post-Go-Live Support activities.
  • Resolved production incidents, enhancement requests, and root cause analysis for absence-related issues.
  • Collaborated with HR stakeholders to gather requirements and provide Workday best practice solutions.
